Suspicious activity is monitored from perimeter devices placed on the outside of the network. When suspicious activity is detected, action is taken to immediately repel attack attempts and deny the intruder access to the network. Continous Monitoring
Red Cliff Solutions 24 x 7 monitoring of alarms generated by the IPS device. After the device installed, alarm notification policies and procedures are customized to fit the demands of the environment. Any critical event occur, Rec Cliff engineers can take the appropriate action to terminate the connection and block the offending attacker from accessing the network.
How it works?
The Red Cliff Solution (RCS) Enterprise Prevention System (IPS) is strategically placed within a network topology where it can monitor and block malicious network traffic. It compares the packets of the data with known "signatures" of harmful attacks as well as other methods to detect attacks. If a match is made, the IPS system can dynamically block the packet in near real time. Qualified security specialists ae also available to examine other traffic that is not dynamically blocked but must be analyzed before any action is taken.
Log Archiving
Red Cliff records all security alerts in a database that undergoes detailed analysis to detect attack trends. If an attack is discovered, Red Cliff engineers will work to identify the appropriate solution to mitigate the identified risk.
Security Reports and Consultation
Red Cliff Solutions provides custom analysis reports based on information retrieved from the IPS device. The most common report summarizes unauthorized attempts and alert event specifics. The report provides a breakdown of unauthorized events logged over a certain period of time and provides added detail into the activity taken by Red Cliff to mitigate the threat. A consultation call is scheduled with the client on a monthly basis to review the reports.
Remote Configuration Management
Red Cliff performs ongoing configuration management of the IPS, including -
